On 8 February 2010, David Farrant published the following statement on his personal blog:
"Sunday again – I really hate Sundays, ‘cause of the normal monotony. But I do have a little bit of news now, apart from the TV thing soon. I met Jamie and his friend yesterday, and they spent a couple of days in London. I am not deliberately trying to hold anybody in suspense, but I did say that if you ‘watch this space’, I would explain who Jamie is. Okay, to get to the point for the more curious of you, Jamie is one of my sons, whom I have not seen for many years. Anyway, they both turned up yesterday, and we had a really good relaxing time. They brought some wine with them, and also paid for a tasty curry. Jamie’s girlfriend, Rosie, had a girlie buttered chicken dish, while the men made do with a Vindaloo, all washed down by copious bottles of wine, and a good few reminiscences. He also showed me several photographs, and I was surprised – though delighted – to see that I have an eleven year old granddaughter. Anyway, to get to the point, I had not actually seen Jamie, or his brother, for thirty-nine years – strange, because he claims to be only twenty-eight! To be serious, I have to say that he was an extremely good looking young man – no doubt because he takes after his father. And his girlfriend Rosie is really gorgeous as well. Okay, everyone, there is a bit more news on top of all that, but you really will have to wait for it. I’ve had a hard day, I’m a little bit tired. But in the meantime, you might like to see one of the pictures that were taken of the occasion. (Well, there are three or four, but I’m just posting one up for the moment.) Well that’s it, really, sleep tight everyone, I know I am going to, after a really hectic and unexpected weekend!
"For the moment,
"David (Farrant)"
This would be the first time Farrant had seen his son, Jamie, born 9 November 1967, since his wife departed from London to live in Southampton in August 1969, never to return save for an appearance at the Old Bailey in the summer of 1974 due to a subpoena issued by her estranged husband. They never met again after that, and, contrary to the impression given by Farrant, his son's half-brother, Daniel J Coster, still has no contact with the man who only saw him as a new born baby.
Farrant's ex-wife, Mary Coster (previously Farrant née Olden) has had no contact since 1974. His second wife, Colette Gee aka Colette Sully, would also remain in the shadows. They married at Wood Green Registry Office on 21 June 1979, and remained together, on and off, until at least the mid-1980s. Unlike most other females, Colette was complicit in Farrant's phoney witchcraft, theatrical Satanism, deceitful stunts, silly pranks and malicious vendettas. Aware of his charlatanry, she still colluded in his publicity-seeking. They divorced after a short marriage. Farrant did not remarry despite claiming a third wife by the name of "Della," a disturbed female who has become complicit in Farrant's obsession with Highgate Cemetery and its legendary vampire, exploitation of Farrant's self-inflicted, manufactured press sensationalism and infamy, plus enmity for the author of the bestselling The Highgate Vampire, Seán Manchester, the man who exorcised the predatory demonic entity in 1974.
Jamie Farrant (whose lives in Southampton SO31, as does his mother and half-brother) dropped his surname "Coster" after meeting his biological father in 2010. David Farrant's notoriety clearly had an appeal for Jamie who inherits the more unfortunate characteristics of Farrant Senior, eg crude and smutty behaviour with a predilection for alcohol and obscene language in equal measure. No sooner had father met son than the son was posting extreme abuse about Seán Manchester, making threats, disseminating defamation and inciting extreme hatred against a man about whom he only knows what his ex-convict father has told him. Within weeks of meeting Farrant Senior, he was calling himself "Jamie Farrant" and sending threatening emails to his father's arch-nemesis. He also posts endless abuse on Facebook, where infringements are removed, resulting in him receiving a temporary ban, and anywhere else that will allow him to spill his malice against someone he knows nothing about. Seán Manchester's traditional views and religious beliefs, however, are anathema to Jamie Farrant.
